Tarter Gate West - Completed!

Starting in 2003, the company visited more than 50 sites in several states, finally narrowing the search to Utah, a manufacturer-friendly state with numerous opportunities for Tarter Gate to grow. After visiting several locations from throughout the state, Tarter Gate management was persuaded that its best potential location for a new manufacturing facility was in Corinne, a little town in Box Elder County in the northern part of the state.

Tarter Gate was able to secure a 28 acre parcel of laser-leveled land in the city's new "Agricultural/Industrial" park complete with all necessary infrastructure including fiber optic lines, highway access, utilities and a variety of local and state incentives aimed at better training and equipping the work force.

Construction began in the fall of 2005 and completion of the new 100,000 square foot facility occurred in June with the line in full operation by early July. In this new facility, Tarter Gate west will fulfill the orders of its growing group of western customers, manufacturing the most popular skus of product entirely at the Utah location.

Western customers can now enjoy fast, economical shipping of the entire Tarter Gate line right to their doors. We don't think of the western operation as a junior version of Tarter Gate east…we put the importance of this new operation right up there with our headquarters in Kentucky. If Tarter Gate makes it, you can get it East or you can get it West. The important thing is that you get it.

Staffed by a crew of experienced Tarter Gate veterans as well as Utahans new to the company but well experienced in manufacturing, logistics and customer service, the Tarter Gate West crew is backed by its own sales force based in the Tarter Gate's Dunnville, Kentucky headquarters. "We take orders in Dunnville and fulfill them from Corinne," says Mike Caudill, Sales Representative for the Tarter Gate West sales team. "Customers can't believe the fast response."
